Greetings all-

We are making progress in pulling together all of the workshop results and
documents:). You can see where we are by looking at the program
(serc.carleton.edu/NAGTWorkshops/visualize04) which now links to the files
and information that we have. We had a small crisis after you left in that
my thumbdrive died --so my apologies if we have lost things you left in my
possession. We would like to see if we can't round up the missing pieces
at this point.

Posters and presentations-there are a still a number of posters and
presentations missing. Check the website to see if you are one of
them--everything that we have is linked.
It would be really valuable to have a complete set. You can use the
contribute poster form to upload either posters or presentations.

Friday afternoon report outs--we are going to make an integrated summary of
these discussions of Using Visualizations to Tell Stories and to Explore
Data. We are missing report outs from: Jim Slotta's Group, Kim Kastens'
Group
As soon as we get these we will proceed with the summary and have it ready
for your comment.

Saturday morning groups: You can find the notes for all but one group
linked to the program. It would be a good idea to review these and let
John McDaris know if you would like to suggest changes
(jmcdaris at carleton.edu).

Saturday afternoon groups: reports were not a primary responsibility for
these groups. However, it would be very nice to have the membership of
each group and a short description of what you are doing in case others are
interested in learning more about what you are doing. We need this
information for
David Uttal's group, Tanya's group, and the Technology group.

We are still working on a page of workshop highlights and a page of
recommendations. Those should be available for your input this week.

Jeff is going to work on matching up volunteers to create mini collections
with the list of areas where visualizations were identified as a need (see
Sat afternoon working group report outs). Be thinking about topics you
would like to take on and look to hear from him late this week or early
next.

We are winding up with reimbursements for the people who rented cars and
transported people to and from the airport. If you have any outstanding
questions in this area, please make sure that you contact Patt or me before
the end of the week. It takes about 2 weeks after we get the receipt
before you get the check--so if it has been longer than that let us know so
we can chase it down.

I am looking forward to hearing more about your thoughts about
visualizations in geoscience education now that the workshop is behind us
and we are back to our everyday lives. I am also looking forward to
hearing about progress in the working groups. Don't forget to write to the
list!

It is still as you left us here-snow on the ground, highs in the 30's. I
hope you are all enjoying warmer weather and more signs of spring!

Cathy
