AGU Session on Teaching with Visualizations: Call for Abstracts
There will be a special session focusing on teaching with visualizations
at the Fall 2004 American Geophysical Union Meeting (Dec 13-17) in San
Francisco. The session will focus on how we use visualizations to reveal
Earth processes and understand geoscience concepts. We are also interested
in examples of how to develop students' ability to think as geoscientists.
If you interested in submitting an abstract and have questions, please
contact the convenors listed below.
Session abstract - ED19: Teaching with Visualizations
Geoscience is one of the most visual of sciences. This session will focus
on the role of visualization in geoscience thinking and the development of
visualization skills in our students. Contributions showcasing examples of
how we use visualizations, including images, animations, and models, to
help our students understand geoscience concepts and to develop their
ability to think as geoscientists are encouraged.
