Mark,

I'm not sure this is exactly what you're looking for, but there's what I 
think is a very nice 3d animation about the Atlantic ocean's "Conveyor" 
circulation dynamic and a description of its role in abrupt climate change.

You probably already have seen this, but just in case, I hope it helps.
