[Oceanwksp] Ocean Workshop Poster Presentations

Hi Folks-We're looking forward to seeing all of you at the Teaching
About the Ocean System Using New Research Techniques: Data, Models and
Visualization workshop in just a few weeks.  We'd like to encourage each
of you to prepare a poster to showcase your current work or interests on
the topic of: How are you currently teaching oceanography with data,
models and visualizations, or how do you plan to?

 

The posters should be prepared with dimensions of 32" by 40" (either
landscape or portrait format will be fine). Please print the posters at
your home institution and bring them to the meeting.  We will mount the
posters on foam-boards of the same size, and these will be displayed on
stand-alone easels.  We will display the posters all day on Thursday and
Friday of the meeting for informal discussions during  breaks and meals,
and we will have a dedicated period of time for formal viewing.

 

Please send the file with your posters to Jen Millner,
jmillner at montana.edu ,  by July 1st so that we can also post these on
the workshop website.  An example from our earlier Geology and Human
Health workshop of how these will look (thumbnail of the poster, author
and title) can be found at

Please let us know if you'll be submitting a poster so that we can fully
prepare the workshop program.
