Hi Folks,
The On the Cutting Edge workshops typically sponsor follow-on activities
to help reach a broader audience, and our first opportunity is the Fall
'05 AGU meeting in San Francisco. This message from Jill Karsten reminds
us that proposals for special sessions are due on June 10 (this Friday).
Would anyone from the workshop participant list like to help me
co-convene this session (i.e. an honest oceanographer)? I can submit
the proposal for the session on Friday, but I need to be able to list
co-convener(s). This is a relatively easy responsibility, and all we
have to do is advertise the session, recruit speakers, organize the
speaker list, and ultimately chair the session at the meeting. Please
let me know by tomorrow if you can help.
We'll be sending additional information about posters, speakers, etc. in
the near future, so please stay tuned.
Best to all,
Dave Mogk

AGU Fall Meeting Session Proposals Sought DUE June 10, 2005
AGU is seeking ideas for "special" sessions to be held during the 2005
Fall Meeting in San Francisco (5-9 December). This includes sessions
related to Education, Outreach, and Workforce issues, as well as the
scientific technical sessions. Remember that first-author abstracts
submitted to ED sessions are exempt from the one-first-author-paper
limit at Fall Meetings, so presenters can contribute both a technical
session and education session abstract as first-author. See
www.agu.org/meetings/fm05/ for the session submission tool.
