hi folks,

This is a reminder for anyone interested in developing online
resources for teaching geophysics, hydrogeology, sedimentary geology,
or structural geology:

On the Cutting Edge has funding to flesh out our online resource
collections, and we are looking for a few people who are interested
in helping us out. Details are available online:

For geophysics: http://serc.carleton.edu/NAGTWorkshops/geophysics/
RFP.html
For hydrogeology: http://serc.carleton.edu/NAGTWorkshops/hydrogeo/
RFP.html
For sedimentary geology: http://serc.carleton.edu/NAGTWorkshops/
sedimentary/RFP.html
For structural geology: http://serc.carleton.edu/NAGTWorkshops/
structure/RFP.html

We will provide our existing online authoring environment for
developing these resources, and you will have the support of the
Cutting Edge website development team. We will also arrange peer-
review of your contributions when they are completed.

We will begin reviewing proposals on January 15, 2008 and will
continue accepting proposals until our funds are allocated. To submit
a proposal, fill in the online proposal submission form, following
the link on the page listed above. The first proposal review cycle
will be completed by January 31, 2008, and we will notify you of the
results at that time. If your proposal is selected for funding, we
will put you in contact with the Cutting Edge website development
team as you begin developing your resource.

If you have colleagues in any of these fields who might be interested
in this opportunity, please pass this information on to them, as well.

all the best,
Carol Ormand
on behalf of the On the Cutting Edge team: Heather Macdonald, Cathy
Manduca, Barb Tewksbury, and David Mogk
