Students will write a research paper comparing the Sumatran (2004) and Tohoku (2011) tsunami generating earthquakes.


Oceanography part of Cutting Edge:Oceanography:Courses
Earth Science 3115 is a lecture-based course designed to provide you with a basic understanding of ocean science, including origins of the ocean basins and continents, the operation of ocean processes such as tides, waves, currents, sedimentation, and biological and geological resources in the oceans. Periodic exercises will help students develop a more in-depth understanding of several of these processes. No prerequisites are needed.
