Activities (2)

Digital Analysis of Geophysical Signals and Waves/Digital Recording part of Cutting Edge:Geophysics:Workshop 07:Geophysics Activities
Sampling (digitizing) of geophysical data is explained using animations by multiplications in the time or space domains by Dirac combs and boxcar functions. Pitfalls in this process can render digital data totally worthless and/or completely misleading and must be avoided.

Digital Analysis of Geophysical Signals and Waves (DAGSAW)/Filtering part of Cutting Edge:Geophysics:Workshop 07:Geophysics Activities
Filtering is one of the most important steps in geophysical data recording and processing since it is present in all geophysical analysis. Filtering is explained in the Digital Analysis of Geophysical Signals and Waves (DAGSAW) web site using animations in space, time and frequency domains.

Course

Geophysics Field Methods part of Cutting Edge:Course Design:Goals Database
Introductory acquisition, processing, and analysis of field geophysical surveys including dc resistivity, gravity, magnetics, and seismic refraction/reflection methods.
