Val Sloan

Val Sloan works in the SOARS group at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) in Boulder, CO, on science internships for college students and high school students, including providing resources for faculty running internships across the country (see https://scied.ucar.edu/soars/reu). Val has taught several courses at CU Boulder and the University of Denver, worked at the Geological Survey of Canada, and run the RESESS internship at UNAVCO. Her research experience includes reconstructing glacier history in the Canadian High Arctic, Yukon Territory, and Pakistan Himalaya.
