Workshop Program


Participants are required to submit a project profile by April 15. Prior to the workshop, we request that each participant browse the profiles and indicate which projects they would most like to meet with during the workshop.

Thursday, April 30

Thursday evening activities take place in the Country Inn Library.

5:00-6:30 Opening reception and dinner
6:30-7:30 Bernie Madison, University of Arkansas Quantitative Literacy and STEM: Oil and Water?

Friday, May 1

Friday activities take place on the UWB Campus in room UW2-141.

8:30 - 9:00 Opening Remarks, Goals, and Introductions

9:00-10:15 Plenary example - Jen Wenner and Nathan Grawe
10:15-10:30 Break
10:30-12:00 Small group discuss projects -- Groups will be based on participant input

12:00-1:30 Lunch on Campus

1:30-3:00 Working Time- based on your experiences in the small group discussions, this time is provided to improve your profile page prior to making it live. Internet access will be available during the poster session to showcase your project via the project page.

3:00-3:30 Get ready for poster session as a part of the NNN Annual Meeting. (Poster session will be in room UW2-140.)
