Money Matters: The Financial Literacy Initiative at Dartmouth College

published Sep 8, 2011 3:43pm
Dorothy Wallace and Kim Rheinlander's ongoing "Money Matters" project advocates a quantitative approach to financial literacy for college students, K-12 students, future teachers, and adult learners. Contextually rich curriculum modules for classroom use, case studies, and short video presentations for faculty development or classroom discussion – all freely available – are supported through the Center for Mathematics and Quantitative Education at Dartmouth and the Financial Literacy Center, via a grant from the Social Security Administration. NNN members Eric Gaze, Semra Kilic-Bahi, Corri Taylor, and others contributed to the creation of the modules and videos and plan to test them in their classrooms this year.
