This workshop will be held at Tennessee State University located in Nashville, TN. All scheduled workshop events will be on the Tennessee State University campus in the Farrell-Westbrook Complex rooms 117-119. The program will begin on Thursday evening, February 2nd, at 5 pm and will conclude at 2 pm on Saturday, February 4th.

Thursday, February 2nd

Afternoon: Participants arrive and check into hotel

5:00 - 6:00 pm Reception and icebreaker activity -- Jim Ebert

  • Gallery Walk: Ideal Teacher Exercise - Participants break into small groups (3 people) to address their question from the Ideal Teacher Exercise. Each group will rotate through each station and add their thoughts or questions. Then, groups will report out on their question.

8:45 - 10:15 am Whole Group Introductions and Discussion: Learning about how our pre-service teacher programs address the need for creating an early pipeline, teaching about Earth in the context of society, and teaching about the role of human impact. Each group will give a 5 minute overview of their program by building on their submitted program description. -- Cheryl Young

10:30 - 11:30 am Working Groups: SWOT analysis across programs. What are the major opportunities and challenges that we can address using InTeGrate or through collaboration? Working groups consist of people from different teams so teams from different schools can learn what other programs do. SWOT Analysis -- Rory McFadden
