1. This world map is representing fault location in 2008 as the dark red lines indicate. Note the proximity of earthquakes near the faults.
2. Data that may be brought into a GIS might be countries, cities, latitude and longitude grid, earthquakes and faults.
3. Latitude and longitude data sets could include earthquake magnitude and fault location.
