1. What does your map show? Please briefly describe it.
This map shows the location of the recent earthquake in China and the recent aftershocks. The magnitude of the earthquakes are also given on the map.
2. What GIS data are you interested in having your students investigate?
I am excited about the students being able to see the relationship between plate boundaries and earthquakes or volcanoes.
3. What GIS analysis techniques are you considering using with students?
I plan to have them map pick a region and see the volcanoes and/or earthquakes in the area.
4. What lingering questions (if any) do you have from today's workshop?
How to locate data easily for students?
How might this be applicable to some of the physical science I am using?
