My map is showing the history of large earthquakes throughout Asia from the past to this week. Including the big earthquake that struck in China on Monday this week. That earthquake is denoted by a yellow dot. Also included are the fault lines, and current boundaries of the different countries in Asia.
The second map is a map of the world and the of the earthquakes that have occured throughout the world since B.C. time. Notice that earthquakes seem to be clustered upon fault lines that are convergence sites where plates collide.

I would like my student to discover the earthquakes along the cascasde range in Washington and Oregon, and also have student realize that they could be victims of earthquakes right here in New England.
