I can imagine that you could add into the world map any data which is collected and stored as a function of longitude and latitude. Examples might be precipitation amounts or humidities or temperatures or other weather type data.

I can imagine that you could add into the world map any data which is collected and stored as a function of longitude and latitude. Examples might be precipitation amounts or humidities or temperatures or other weather type data. Maybe you could find volcanic eruption data or maybe there is wave height data that is now being collected to be able to predict tsunamis.
