Workshop Three
1.What does your map show? Please briefly describe it.
My map shows the United States with the river details.
2.What kinds of data can you bring into a GIS?
Additional data available is cities, counties, lakes, elevations and faults. I’m confident that this just skims the surface.
3.List at least one other dataset containing latitude and longitude coordinates.
Aren’t ALL GIS datasets aligned through Lat and Long?
4.What lingering questions (if any) do you have from today's workshop?
I’ll go look, but if I were to incorporate county features, can I get county data?
Comment: Carla, if you haven’t been nominated for sainthood yet, let me start the rush. I ( actually we but I shouldn’t speak for others) blunder our way through computer technology. We’re not really obtuse, just victims of limited exposure. The fundamentals truly get in our way; How do I delete a file, Where did the screen shot go?( my favorite). I thank you for your patience to date and I’m certain that we’ll manage to test you further!
