In any step, click the Show me link to reveal extra information. If you prefer a printout of the full set of instructions for this part, choose Print from the File menu.
Step 1-Prepare Your Report
Document your findings in written and/or digital form. Be able to support your observations and conclusions with print outs or screen captures of your map analyses from Parts 2 and 3. Address the following in your report.
- Describe and explain the relationship between both convergent and divergent plate boundaries and shear wave velocities.
- Covered in Part 2
- Screen captures: Japan, India, Mid-Atlantic
- Describe and explain how shear wave velocities change in the upper mantle and crustal material. Include a description of the cross-sectional change across North America at two different depths.
- Covered in Part 3
- Screen captures: depth_028_grid, depth_100_grid, depth_28_chart, depth_100_chart, depth_28_and_chart, depth_100_and_chart
Step 2-Present Your Report
Present your findings in either a written or oral report with supporting evidence from the chapter.
