My students have been following an assigned Sooty Shearwater in either the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean and are using the data they collect to compare with the results of a bird from the other ocean to see if there are similarities or differences in the average number of Km flown daily. The info is transmitted and recorded on Signalsofspring.net The students use a measurement tool like Image J to find the flight distances and then used Excel to graph and analyze it.
