Measuring Images in Image J

Hello,
I actually taught this lesson last week. I will be posting a review of the lesson. I was really pleased with the kids use of the lesson. I used as part of my measuring with properties of matter.
The program is not allowing me to include the entire file with the worksheet and images.
If you are interested in more about what I did I will gladly send you the file.

Hi Stacey,

Would you please insert your plan into the Investigation Template and post it again? One of the details you might want to add is to tell students to place a measuring device (such as a ruler or meter stick) in their photos. Thanks,---Carla

Hello Stacey,

Measurement is a topic that I teach in both Grades 7 & 8 and I would like to try new lessons. This seems something that could be useful to me in my science curriculum.

Hi Stacey,
Great lesson! I love the variety of images that the students can use and the opportunities to get a feel for the different sizes of measurement units.

Hi Stacey,

Each year, the upcoming 6th graders at the inclusion level usually have a hard time with the metric measurement. I think that your activity would help get the concept across.
