Attached is my new investigation for calculating the circumference of the Earth using a GPS. This was adapted from a lesson from the ESRI webpage. I completed both the investigation and the follow up for this.

I love your adaptation of this exciting lesson plan. Your rubric and student planning sheets look impressively well developed. I would love to know how it went. Did you post the investigation template and follow-up that you mentioned in your blurb?

Karen--I must say I am impressed with this lesson plan. I love a rubric project. Although this is too complicated for my students, I could adapt it to simply SHOW students how objects in space are calculated. Truly great lesson.
Happy Holidays--Hope all is well. See you soon.

This lesson is very interesting I will use some of your ideas of expections and the layout of your planning sheets. This project is could be used in my Geometry class next term. Nice work.
