University of West Florida is a university with graduate programs, primarily masters programs .Overview and Context
The GIS Certificate program is offered as a separate entity to the BS and MS degree programs. Three of its seven component courses are also required of all Environmental Studies BS students; however, the certificate can be obtained separate from the BS and MS degrees.
This certificate program runs parallel to our BS degree program in Environmental Studies, which is divided into three tracks (Natural Science, Geography, and Environmental Policy).
Program Design
This certificate curriculum provides students with a definable, job-related skill that can also contribute substantively to academic efforts (e.g., Master's theses).
