From the NOAA Photo Library, find photographs of marine vertebrates and invertebrates from the Caribbean, Florida, Pacific, and Red Sea reefs.
This Landsat-7 color composite image shows a section of the famous Great Barrier Reef, the world's largest living organism. This view displays the southern end of the reef where it is composed of smaller, individual reef structures as opposed to a continuous bank as in the north.
These six images show atolls in various stages of formation. Clicking on an image will enlarge the view and moving the cursor across the image shows color-coded distinctions between reefs, lagoons, and islands.
