Lodging

We will make all the hotel reservations and arrangements. You do not need to contact the hotel to reserve your room.

We will be housing workshop participants in double occupancy rooms. Have a look at the workshop participant list and let us know if you have a roommate preference. There are a very limited number of single rooms available for those with medical or other needs that require a single room. We will have to charge you an additional fee to cover that expense. Please contact Karin Kirk (kkirk@montana.edu) with roommate preferences or other needs.

Meals

Continental breakfasts, snacks and lunches will be served at the AGU Headquarters on Friday and Saturday. We will also provide group dinners on Thursday and Friday nights. You will be on your own for dinner on Saturday night. Vegetarian options will be available at all meals. Please let us know of any food restrictions/preferences via the registration form or contact the conveners directly.

Dress

Decidedly casual! Be comfortable. Springtime in DC is quite pleasant, but be prepared – it can always rain and temperatures can range from chilly to hot. Check the weather forecast before you come!

Registration

Participation in the workshop requires acceptance through the application process. All accepted participants must register by March 15, 2006. Registration is a commitment to participate in all workshop activities. Registrants who withdraw from the workshop will incur any related costs if we can't find a replacement, except in the case of extenuating circumstances (such as a personal emergency).
